Project Meducate in the Community
This winter, Project Meducate volunteers joined New Brunswick's Social Services Open House, providing free blood pressure, BMI, and blood sugar screenings to uninsured and underserved community members.
Our students showed up because access to basic health information shouldn't depend on your zip code or insurance status.

What the community is saying
Milagro Infante, Sr. Program Coordinator at Elizabeth Community Center

Shriya Singaraju, Project Meducate Volunteer
I joined Project Meducate because I really felt my values aligned with Project Meducate’s mission of giving back to medically underserved communities in New Jersey. I appreciate that Project Meducate diligently trains and prepares volunteers for leading impactful seminars and running essential clinics, and I’ve gained valuable perspective by interacting with the people who attend our seminars and clinics, as well as my fellow volunteers. I’m very grateful to be named volunteer of the month, and I hope to continue to do more impactful work with Project Meducate and help expand our reach further.
Dr. Theresa Brightman, Mount Zion
The execution of each clinic was seamless and professional, yet warm and centered around the community we serve. community-centered. Volunteers were well-prepared, signage was clear, and the environment was inviting and judgment-free. Project Meducate didn’t just come to deliver services; they came to build trust, and they succeeded. Our members and the community seen at each clinic felt seen, heard, and valued, and that made all the difference.
Ashley, Morris Plains Community Care Behavioral Health
CCBH clients enjoy interactive activities, and we have found that is what Project Meducate brings fun interactive topics on health and mental health. In the future we hope for continued collaboration with our clients in helping to educate them in health and mental health related topics they can benefit from. There is also room for expansion in our other programs we have available.
