High School Mentorship

Project Meducate’s High School Mentorship Program is designed to inspire and prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals. Through guidance from medical students and undergraduates, we provide high school students with valuable insights, practical advice, and a clear understanding of the pre-med and healthcare pathways. Participants will learn from our firsthand experiences serving patients in health clinics, gain a deeper understanding of Project Meducate’s mission and impact, and develop the tools and confidence needed to pursue a meaningful career in healthcare.

Our in-person mentorship events feature mock clinics where students learn to measure blood pressure, blood sugar, and BMI, while also understanding what these values mean and how to explain them to patients. These interactive sessions give students an early start in developing essential patient communication skills, mastering basic medical techniques, and building the confidence to engage in real-world healthcare settings.

Our online mentorship events feature engaging presentations on Project Meducate’s mission and its advocacy for addressing healthcare disparities in New Jersey. We cover fundamental medical topics such as blood pressure, blood sugar, lung sounds, and BMI, while highlighting how access to free healthcare resources can transform lives. These sessions also include interactive panels with medical and undergraduate students, providing guidance and mentorship for those pursuing the pre-med pathway.
